I am in El Paso Texas, it has been an incredible experience taking the 2011-2012 Life Coach Road Trip. If anyone had ever told me how much fun this would be, I would have taken it 10 years ago.

I love the live events, the groups, the street festivals and the schools, but what I really enjoy is when I stop at a Waffle House or Denny's and people see the bus and come over to my booth and start talking.

People share with me like we have been friends for years. My daughters often comment how strangers come over and share personal stories, events and problems with me, after just meeting me for the first time. I guess that is why I love Life Coaching. I love to help people with problems and share secrets to living a successful life.

I have 12 more days on the road and I hope to meet as many people as I can. Today I broadcast a show from the Holiday Inn, in El Paso Texas. I discussed the topics that I generally cover when I speak. It seems like everyone is looking for answers and secrets to living a happy, healthy and successful life.

I teach skills and lessons for living and creating a successful life. The key to life seems to be learning to be happy with what you have, while pursuing what you want. Learning to turn away from something in order to turn toward something better.

2011 Los Angeles Talkers Regional Forum

Jeff attended the 2011 Southern California Talkers Regional Forum. This industry get together was unique in the fact that it was held in Southern California and that this one day event did not cost attendees anything. It was free to attend.

The event was held at the LA Press Club in the Steve Allen Theater. This was a unique facility to hold the forum, since everyone in attendance was familiar with Steve Allen.

Highlights include a talk by Larry King, Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa and Bill Handle of KFI.

Jeff was able to park the Life Coach Bus on Hollywood Blvd in front of the LA Press Club during the event. Everyone attending commented on the Life Coach Bus.

Jeff broadcast from San Diego California from the Life Coach Bus. This show is about Life Coaching, Life Changing and Life Skills, but more than anything, Jeff talks about important people in your life. One such man is Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers Magazine.

Jeff met Michael in Austin Texas many years ago at a NAB Radio Show. Michael is a visionary, a guy who sees what the future holds. His schedule or timeline may be off a little, but he is 100% accurate what the media landscape will look like a the next 5,10 and 15 years. He introduces a new concept or idea, The MEDIA STATION.

This is where a broadcaster includes all forms of media on his website. Audio, Video, News, Blogs and other pertinent information to the subject or topic of the site. Broadcasters will have a narrow focus, but will go in depth on the topic at hand.

Michael gave me the idea and motivation to take Life Coaching and build a MEDIA STATION around the subject matter. I created LifeCoachMedia.com as my media station, or home for all things Life Coaching.

While this is not a screen shot of the website, I have created a concept media station, to give you an idea what a media station looks like. Here is the conceptual idea.

In today's radio show, Jeff thanks Michael Harrison for being his mentor and friend. The future of talk radio will include audio, video and news. Jeff wants to become known as the guy who started the first Media Station in the area of Life Coaching, Personal Growth and Leadership Skills.

Jeff's idea is to get out and meet the people, introduce Life Coaching, let people experience coaching and most of all, try to share some time tested wisdom with the listening audience.

The Life Coach Road Trip was advertises as a coast to coast tour, it has now a coast to coast and border to border tour. Jeff decided to take the Life Coach Bus to the border. Jeff is in San Diego California and visited the US - Mexico border today. It was a real eye opening experience. Listen as Jeff describes the border crossing the people trying to come into America.

It is interesting to see how close we live to our neighbors, yet the society is so different. Jeff reminds his listeners that people risk their life, give up their possessions, to come to this country. This is still the greatest country in the world.

One thing is for sure, the border guards did not know what to think when they saw me in the Life Coach Bus. Ever since 9-11, our law enforcement personnel consider everyone a threat.

On the 2011 Life Coach Road Trip, I have met with a lot of people, most have asked, " what are you doing or what are you trying to accomplish." The answer is simiple, " I am living my dream," I am living my authentic life, not a life someone else wanted me to live.

This is because in life I learned early on that owning a business, provides a profit or loss and a profit always is better than a salary.

Then people say, what's the deal with the radio show.......as best as I can remember, I have always wanted to be on the radio. As I explained to some muscle car enthusist that are staying at the same hotel as I am, for the Barret Jackson auto auction, some people get a rush putting on a helmet and traveling at high rates of speed, others like to play golf or jump out of an airplane, I love to put on head phones and get close to the microphone.

It is hard to explain the feeling I get when I am in front of a microphone. One thing is for sure, for those that share the same feeling, they understand. As Larry King put it best, he has been quoted many times as saying, " I always wanted to be on the radio."

I am starting out on the internet, since I believe that is the future of Radio. While I am in Las Vegas, the I Heart Radio event is going on at MGM. Sponsored by Clear Channel, this event is to introduce I Heart Radio to the world. I Heart is similar to Pandora. The future of Radio is definately on the web.

I am starting my show as a Podcast, but eventually plan to take it on the internet as a traditional call in show, in hour segments. The show is currently available on Itunes and published on this blog as well as on LifeCoachRadio.com

Today Jeff enjoyed lunch with Kristie Myers at the CooCoo Nest in Cumming Georgia. The management of the restaurant was very kind to allow us to record a show after our meal. If you have never been to the CooCoo Nest, you need to stop in and enjoy a great lunch or dinner. The staff was outstanding and the facilities are beautiful.

In the 30 minute show Jeff explains to Kristie what he hopes to accomplish with the 2011-2012 Life Coach Road Trip and the radio show. Kristie and Jeff discuss what it takes to be a successful real estate agent in these tough economic times

Kristie came up with a cute saying, "connected mic to mic" or " mic to mic, connected to America." Jeff and Kristie share their love for radio. It is hard to explain, but you either have a passion or love for talk radio or you don't. I remember as a child, listening to talk radio, thinking, wouldn't it be great if one day I could be on the radio. Now with the internet, I can talk and people can listen all over the world.
